Keep Writing Over The Summer

Image
I've decided to come up with a few ways for people who love to write, like me, to continue writing over the summer just for fun and stop writing Without You because I am not going to have enough time to finish it. If you love writing, then here are a few ways to keep busy this summer.   Travel Journal https://www.amazon.com/Travel-Journal-perfect-travel-companion/dp/1481963686 1. Even if you don't travel to any exotic places like Bora Bora or Paris, it is still fun to write about your vacations. Personally, I don't travel very much; I go to Wildwood every summer and that is pretty much it, but I still love using one because I want to remember every second of it. The best way to remember everything is by writing it down. This way when it is twenty degrees below zero and your sitting on your couch wrapped in a blanket drinking hot cocoa, you can read this journal and hopefully be warmed by the thoughts of the sun burning your body and the waves crashing against...

Without You Part 3

https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip- 9894971-video-footage-solitary-man-standing-on-beach           "Alaina!" I called out to the empty beach. "Alaina!" The waves kept knocking me down off of my feet, making it impossible to get out to her. "Help! Somebody help!" I was talking to no one. I was alone. She was gone. I went under the waves and did everything I could to look for some sign of her. I looked all over it seemed, when finally to my left, something popped out from under the waves. I frantically swam over to it, praying that it was her. The waves kept pushing it farther and farther out. I refused to give up on her, not that easily. The closer I got, the more hope I lost. I tried to trick myself into thinking it was her; I knew it wasn't. She wasn't blue. I dove under the waves her surfboard rode up and found the ocean floor, praying I felt something other than rocks and sand.           When it felt like I had used up all o...

Without You Part 2

The days to follow our adventure on the mountain were filled with memories that I would never forget. We surfed, ate a lot of food, hiked, went snorkeling, explored the reefs, but the best part was doing it all with her. She helped me step out of my comfort zone. Last year, I never could have seen myself surfing especially in Hawaii, but she pushed me to do it beca use she kn ew how much I would love it. She was right. It felt like I was on top of the world for the two seconds I was able to stay on my feet. I heard her cheering me on, laughing at me all the way until I smacked the water. Once I was ready, she took me farther out and joined me on the waves instead of just watching. h ttps://www.hawaiidiscount.com/ tours/helicopterrides.htm                     However, as brave as Alaina was, she refused to take a helicopter ride. She loved planes and adventures, but there was no...

Without You Part 1

The same blue towel that I had seen on the beach everyday since June 22 was in its usual spot. I walked over to where the towel was laying and sat down on it, waiting for it's owner to return from the water. I took off my shirt, put on my sunglasses, and fell asleep. I was woken up by droplets of salty water cooling off my chest. I opened my eyes and there she was. Her curly hair flipped over being thrown into a bun. Her glistening skin shining so perfectly under the sun. She was looking at me directly in the eyes and I prayed she couldn't see me staring at her through my sunglasses. I figured she couldn't when she did what any best friend would have done. A pile of sand landed on my face and in my mouth. Typical Alaina. "Alaina!" I yelled. "Hope you had a good nap. It's time to go," she smiled her beautiful and bright one. "You suck," I told her as I got up from the ground. I pretended...

Whenever I'm With You

Image
This will probably be my last book review before I start another story. If I'm being completely honest, this book is one of the best books I have ever read, and I've read a lot! Whenever I'm With You  by Lydia Sharp was the type of book that is so frustrating, but in a good way. The whole piece was so well written and it moved so nicely throughout each chapter.           The book starts off with Gabi moving to Alaska with her father after her parents divorce. They both wanted an escape from her mother's non stop paparazzi after starring in yet another movie. When she first arrives in Alaska, she feels completely lost with no friends or social life. However she meets Kai, her charming next door neighbor who makes this unknown place feel like home with his joyful personality. He shares his family, friends, and his warmth with her. She develops a deep relationship with him and once she thinks she has finally found her place ...

The Secret Life of Prince Charming

Image
Another great book that I recently finished was The Secret Life of Prince Charming by Deb Caletti. I realize the title sounds incredibly corny and I also thought the same thing, but then I read the summary and I was so intrigued. You can buy it at a Barnes and Nobles near you or if you're anything like me and don't want to leave the house, I will leave a link at the end of this post to an amazon copy.          The novel is about a girl named Quinn and her sister Charlotte, but her closest family and friends not including her father, call her Sprout. They have a very complicated relationship with their father. Quinn is determined to make their relationship work after he just came back into their life, but Sprout refuses to make any efforts. Their parents are divorced after he cheated on their mom with Abigail Renfrew. Every couple weekends, Quinn and Sprout take the train to go visit their father for the weekend. https:/...

One Week to the Wedding

Image
Hey everyone! I finished  "The Truth" and am going to take a few posts to give some book recommendations because I love reading just as much as I love writing, specifically love stories.          If you love love stories, I definitely recommend reading One Week to the Wedding  by Olivia Miles. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32729616-one-week-to-the-wedding           This book is a about a girl named Kate who is planning her best friend Elizabeth and her fiancĂ© William's wedding. She was also supposed to be getting married, but a major conflict occurs with her fiancĂ© Jake, which you will have to read to find out. The conflict with them also causes a lot of drama between her and her sister, Charlotte. Charlotte messed up big time and she knows it, but she also has a huge secret. One that could either bring her and her sister back together or tear them apart even more.  ...
